Practicum Entry #6 Total Hours: 17

Last episode before break! Everything is becoming more and more routine. I was happily assigned with baseball and softball readers which I think I did well with. I once again attended the news show with David, Rachel, Kati, Dion, Tony and of course Dr. Bradford! Running the prompter seems to be my weekly gig, but picking up on the technology more and more every time which is necessary! Every one had great segments as usual, but at the beginning we did have some lighting/ technical difficulties.

Practicum Entry #5 Total Hours:14

For the news show airing on February 19th, I wrote a reader for the Softball (which was rained out), Men's Baseball, and the Harlem Globetrotters coming to Lakeland. All very exciting, I like the lingo used in baseball so writing baseball/softball readers are enjoyable! The show went well! Dion had a nice entertainment segment, David was great as always, and Kati McCabe is a rising star in the newsroom! Tony interviewed a Swimmer this week, when Tony is in anything, you know it's going to be entertaining!

Practicum Entry #4 Total Hours: 10

For the show airing on February 12th, I wrote readers for the baseball team, women's tennis, and the Discover FL spring break trips. I feel I am getting comfortable with the format of the readers, and I enjoy following our sports teams. On Monday the 10th, I also attended the shooting for the news show. Another solid show, with the addition of an interview with a women's tennis player done by Tony which was a nice spark. Total Hours: 10

Practicum Entry #3 Total Hours: 5

For the show airing on February 5th, I wrote readers for The Women's basketball team against Rollins College as well as the Discover FL Orlando Magic game. It was exciting, I enjoyed being a part of the news team as well as getting positive feedback from Rachel and David. Total Hours: 5

Practicum Entry #2 Total Hours: 3

On Saturday January 31st I attended the shooting again for the news show with Rachel, David, Katie, and of course Dr. Bradford. Learning a little bit more about the routine and how to work the teleprompter even though it was cut short because of some technical difficulties! Total Hours: 3
